A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

To our loyal donors

‘Thank you for paying attention to this message, it concerns you in particular!’

By the time this newsletter reaches your hands, the new Director will have been elected and appointed by the ŒUVRE SAINT-JUSTIN Foundation Board.

At the initiative of Anne-Elisabeth, who is in charge of housekeeping, a time of prayer open to all the staff at the Fribourg site has been set up every Wednesday before noon, so that the people responsible for finding and electing the Director can be assisted by the power of the Holy Spirit.

For my part, I’m going to start tidying up my office (with a few tears) so that it (the office) can welcome this new person and so that he or she can, without waiting too long, get to grips with his or her new role…

I’m going to accompany her for a while to hand over the files awaiting decision, the projects in progress and mainly to answer her questions so that she receives the score for managing the people who work in this institution.

I leave this post with great joy for all that has been achieved during these 19 years in the service of peace in the world and witness to God’s love, through these paths offered to the young women and men of these emerging countries so that they in turn become witnesses to a world at peace filled with God’s love.

But it’s not without sadness that I say goodbye or farewell to all of you who have enabled me to experience this journey of solidarity.

I give thanks to God for the people who have trusted me and given me the strength to accomplish this mission. I’m thinking especially of the late Mgr Bernard Genoud, but above all of my wife, my children and those close to me who have often encouraged and supported me during difficult times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this incredible Saint Justin mission.
