PILGRIMAGE

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart

After having had to take a step back for three months due to burnout, Marco Cattaneo has been able to resume his activities as director of the Œuvre St-Justin. In this message, he would like to thank all those who supported him, particularly during the pilgrimage of Saint Rita.

During these difficult times of doubt and rebirth, I’ve been able to count on wonderful people, like my family, close friends, pilgrims, the Saint Rita family and my work colleagues. Each of you has supported me in your own way, and I’d like to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

CALLED TO BE PEACEMAKERS

With my doctor’s permission, I was able to take part in this year’s 2024 pilgrimage, with Adriana’s support, who helped me organise our trip. She was a tremendous help, enabling me to get through the week. What a wonderful experience with you, pilgrims, who responded to the invitation to live this time of peace, by giving it and receiving it!

For the first time, 10 couples took part in this pilgrimage. What a joy it was to welcome them and share the highlights of the week. What’s more, we were able to celebrate two anniversaries, which gave the community of pilgrims a wonderful festive and fraternal experience.

Yes, I can say that we formed a prayerful community, welcoming differences and giving everyone a place. We felt understood, respected and loved. For me, who organises this pilgrimage with Jean-Claude and Jean-Marc, being able to experience these moments is a testament to the love of Christ.

This year’s Saint Rita celebrations in Fribourg, Sion and Lucerne were, as they are every year, beautiful moments of meeting, sharing and fraternity. Many of you came to enjoy these moments, and we can only thank you for your faithfulness.

A HIGHLY COMMITTED WORKFORCE

In my absence, the staff put all their heart into welcoming you on this occasion. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them warmly for their magnificent commitment.

Thank you to David, Jean-Marc, Adriana, Luciana, Chantal, Tanja, Alexandra, Claudine, Anne-Elisabeth, Lara Kate, Anne Maria, Berta, Jean-Claude, Ruedi and all those who prepared a magnificent meal for us in such a simple and convivial way.

We look forward to seeing you in 2025.

We’re all part of Rita’s family, known as ‘the paceri – peacemakers’. Open your hearts to all those who are experiencing events that are preventing them from experiencing inner peace.

I hope you will live in peace and harmony with nature, society and the community, for the common good. I wish you all the best on your journey towards holiness and peace, illuminated by the light of Saint Rita’s life.
