The St-Justin Foundation supports numerous students from countries across the Global South. Each year, over one hundred scholarships are awarded to deserving young people who, without this support, would not have access to dignified educational conditions. The majority study in their home countries. Others come to specialise at a Swiss Higher Education Institution before returning to their home communities.
Supporting a student, whether locally or abroad, is not limited to one-off assistance. It is a long-term investment whose effects extend far beyond the individual. Graduates supported by the St-Justin Foundation go on to apply their skills at the service of their communities, contributing to local development and strengthening intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
« After my studies, I wish to put my skills in water, energy, and the environment to the service of sustainable development in Togo, particularly in the Savanes Region, by creating a consultancy firm to benefit local authorities and stakeholders. »
« I had the opportunity to pursue my passion for immunology and work on a project related to vaccine development. This experience also opened the door to continuing my research journey, and I am now moving towards a PhD in a field I am deeply passionate about. Looking ahead, I am deeply motivated to advance research and innovation by establishing research centers that drive scientific progress, foster local talent, and create jobs. I also aspire to help build resilient health systems prepared for future pandemics and epidemics, while addressing critical public health challenges in Nepal through sustainable solutions. »
« The scholarship had a significant impact on my academic journey, allowing me to focus entirely on my studies without the constant burden of financial constraints. It gave me access to essential learning resources, enabled me to participate in academic activities, and ultimately allowed me to perform to the best of my abilities. »
« The valuable support from St-Justin’s Foundation allowed me to achieve my study plans by gaining my Diploma in Education, thereby consolidating my teaching vocation at the Espoir de l’Avenir School and opening doors to a Master’s degree. Beyond my personal fulfillment, this qualification strengthens my commitment to my community in Nyamata. As an educator, I am now equipped to address the social challenges of my country, notably by promoting the importance of education, gender policy, and sustainable development among my pupils, their families, and my surrounding society. »
